Circa's Calgary location accommodates
Circa Enterprises' corporate head office as well as the manufacturing
and marketing of Building Entrance Terminals and surge protection
equipment to the communication industry in North America.
Circa's current line of surge protection products are designed
specifically for application with copper wire cable, which has
been the dominant medium for voice and data transmission for
many years. Demand for these products is driven primarily by
the installation of new phone lines required by the commercial
and residential construction industries. |
Circa Metals/Hydel, located
in Vaughan, Ontario, is a 99,000 sq. ft. facility, with 114
employees.
Hydel also operates a 23,000 sq. ft. facility in Welland, Ontario
with 32 employees. |

Circa Metals is Circa Enterprise’s
metal fabrication division, specializing in custom prototype
development and production of a broad range of sheet metal products.
As well as providing all of Circa Enterprise’s production requirements,
Circa Metals delivers custom metal solutions into a variety
of industries, including Pharmaceutical/ Biotech, Telecom /
Electronics, and consumer products.
Hydel is a well established business and produces enclosures
and other products for the electrical utility industry, from
manufacturing and warehousing facilities located in Vaughan
and Welland, Ontario.
The Hydel business is complementary to the existing Circa Metals
operation, in that it allows for an expansion of the capabilities
of Circa Metals Inc. |
Circa
Tampa, Florida, is a 12,000 sq. ft. facility, with 20 employees. |
The
facility in Tampa, Florida is an opportune location for warehousing
Circa’s surge protection equipment in close proximity to southern
U.S.-based customers. This facility is linked in real-time to
the Calgary head office, ensuring information flow and accounting
systems are readily managed.
Circa moved the Asset Recovery business (CirPlus) to the Tampa
location with products including surge protection modules, cable
and related telecom products sourced from the large telco’s
surplus inventory. This facility ensures that Circa is well
positioned for delivery to any customer in North America, a
benefit that led to a number of major sales contracts over the
past five years. |

In order to achieve reduced production costs to sustain
our pricing advantages, Circa has arranged offshore
assembly of surge protection modules in China. Circa
sources the surge protection module components from
various suppliers located in the United Kingdom, Korea,
and the United States. These components are then
shipped to a Contract Manufacturer located near
Shenzhen, China for assembly. In addition to lowering
production costs, the offshore module assembly has
allowed the Company to be more responsive to
customer demand.
